Free outdoor cinema this summer on València beaches
Enjoy the best films outdoors with free screenings on València beaches. Screenings start at 10:00 pm, with short films, workshops and games for children from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The programme includes titles such as 'The Wild Robot', 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' and 'Wicked' from 17 July to 28 August 2026.
The series runs until 28 August 2026, so there are nights left. It is free, outdoors and unseated: people turn up with a towel, a mat or a folding chair and sit on the sand.
How the evening works
The film starts at 10 p.m., which in August is properly dark. Before that, from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., there are short films, workshops and games for children — that is what makes this a whole-evening plan rather than just a screening. The listing names The Wild Robot, Jurassic World: Rebirth and Wicked among the titles. Which film plays on which night, and on which beach, is set by the official programme, so check it the same day before heading out.
What to bring
Sand cools fast once the sun is gone and the sea breeze picks up: a long-sleeved layer is welcome by eleven at night even after a 33-degree day. Add mosquito repellent, water and something to sit on.
Getting to the beach without a car
València's beaches are not on the metro proper, but the Metrovalencia tram (lines 4 and 6) runs right to Malva-rosa and Les Arenes, and city buses keep going late. Driving is the bad option: parking near the promenade on an August night costs you half an hour. Patacona, just over the boundary in Alboraya, is a ten-minute walk up the sand from Malva-rosa. If you are not sure which beach suits you, we compare them in this guide, and there are more no-cost plans in free things to do in València.
