El Primer Corte de la Miel in Ayora runs from 8 to 12 October 2026. The fair brings together beekeeping and food, with local honey producers and extraction demonstrations.
What is extracted and what can you taste?
The demonstration shows how honey is extracted from beehives in a large enclosure in the town centre. When the process finishes, visitors can taste the freshly extracted honey. The beekeeping exhibitors sell different honey varieties and related products, including propolis, royal jelly, sweets and cosmetics.
Where the fair takes place and what it offers
The fair area includes Plaza Mayor, La Glorieta, La Marquesa, the small alleyways and the Los Altos neighbourhood. It has areas for beekeeping, food, crafts, shopping and children’s activities. The fair website announces face painting, balloon modelling and crafts for children, as well as guided visits to Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción, the castle, and introduces Abrigo de Tortosilla and the Iberian settlement of Castellar de Meca. The festival calendar covers other celebrations in the province.
