Moros y Cristianos Sagunto 2026 runs from 25 September to 4 October in honour of the Virgen del Remedio. The Gran Entrada Mora y Cristiana parade is scheduled for Saturday 3 October at 19:30.

What is on the programme from 2 to 4 October?

• Friday 2: gather at the Terraet at 19:00, then set off at 19:30 along Camí Reial to the Iglesia del Salvador. The offering to the Virgen del Remedio takes place at 20:15, followed by the Despullament del Moro, which represents the conversion of the Moorish ambassador to Christianity.
• Saturday 3: at 19:15, a thanksgiving to the Virgen del Remedio inside the Iglesia del Salvador and, after that, the Gran Entrada Mora y Cristiana.
• Sunday 4: the festival groups (comparsas) gather at 11:15 in Plaza Antigua Morería before heading to the Castillo de Sagunto. The Embajadas (embassies) and the Batalla (battle) are performed at 12:30 at Puerta de Almenara; the act ends with Sagunto's anthem.

Saturday's route follows Calle Valencia, Camí Reial, Plaza Cronista Chabret and Avenida Doctor Palos, ending at the UGT headquarters.

The 36th edition and the first weekend

This is the 36th edition, and the festival holds regional tourist-interest status (Fiesta de Interés Turístico Autonómico). The programme covers two weekends; the first included the opening address on Friday 25 at 20:30 from the town hall balcony and the Alardo on Saturday 26 at 19:00, with blunderbusses and music.
