The Teatre Talia brings back «Besos», one of those comedies that already form part of Valencian theatrical memory. Written by Carles Alberola and Roberto García, the play returns to the stage 27 years after its premiere, with previously unseen scenes added to the original production.
The show moves, sketch by sketch, through the different stages of a relationship: love, seduction, jealousy and heartbreak, with the music of the 70s and 80s as its connecting thread. Perales, Dyango and Camilo Sesto play in the background while the characters go through situations as recognisable as they are funny.
It runs from 23 September to 1 November 2026, with performances in Valencian until 12 October and in Spanish from 14 October. Tickets start at 15 €.
Before or after the show
The theatre is on Carrer Cavallers, in the area around the Cathedral, so the visit leaves time to spend the afternoon in El Carmen. A few steps away, visitors can climb the Torre del Micalet to see the city from above, or visit the Iglesia de San Nicolás, with its vault covered in Baroque frescoes.
For dinner before the show, nearby is La Bodeguilla del Gato, in an alley of La Seu, or Café de las Horas, with its atmosphere of a Parisian salon from another century, ideal for lingering at the table after the laughs of the show.
If the theatre plan turns into an afternoon of culture, the culture agenda brings together other stage programmes in the city to complete the week.
