Sir Mark Elder sets off on a tour of Spain with a thoroughly Russian programme devoted to three composers close to his repertoire and to that of the OCV. One of them is Stravinsky, with his short but witty Scherzo à la russe, a jazz-rooted piece with impetuous rhythm and a burlesque character.
